TASTING NOTE: Orange blossom, lemon rind, round and floral with caramel, apricot and bright acid.

ELEVAGE: Grapes were crushed, destemmed and put into one ton bins to macerate in the shade for one to 5 days. Pressed, browned and settled juice was moved to tank and barrel where fermentation continued until May 2022. In September the wine was racked and bottled without fining or filtration.

MISCELLANEOUS: 2021 was an big crop and in a few instances an odd amount of wine remained after filling a tank. This bottling is a blend of those tail ends. There was also a single barrel of pinot gris that didn't have a home so it went in as well. The name Basket is in reference to the tiny Basket Creek that winds past this farm and into the Delaware River a few miles away. The wine will drink well over several days and fills out considerably with air.
